It is practical philosophy that gives a context for reflection and action.”\n     – David Orr\, Oberlin Distinguished Professor and environmental sustainability  \nDear Friends\, \nWe’re meeting again Sunday May 21st. Our gathering day is still a little off the full moon cycle; In deference\, closer to the full moon\, Sunday the 14th is Mother’s Day\, so\, let’s extend Mother’s Day to Mother Earth Day and meet the following Sunday\, on May 21st. Please share this with those who might be interested. It would be good to see you on Sunday; and bring some people\, if you’d like. We’ll have fun.  \nFor those who have been to a “book reading” for The New Creation Story\, you will find this gathering to be different. The intention is to build community around the relational principles found in the New Creation trilogy\, which is subtitled: Spirit\, Eros and Climate Chaos. \nThere will be a presentation to describe the context in which we find ourselves immersed\, in addition to a twenty minute reading from The New Creation Story\, and interactive questions pertaining to the human condition: who are we\, where did we come from\, what are our current planet-threatening challenges\, and how we might heal the wounds that this emergency is causing. \nPlease bring some “finger food” to share with others\, but there will not be a full meal so we will officially end before dinner; our time together will include opportunities to visit with each other and enjoy the ocean air\, the sunset and the moon rise.
