Conscious Activism is engagement in the world that expresses and reveals our most profound understanding of the nature of reality. Our Conscious Activism Centers provide a space to explore this kind of engagement.

Read more about Conscious Activism or read the Andrew Beath's recently published book entitled Consciousness in Action.

Conscious Activism Centers include:

Mountain Aerie - is an activist training center on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, comprised of 15 acres of natural beauty, remarkable vistas, and several buildings to be used for training environmental activists. This location is the third in an EarthWays network of “Centers for Conscious Activism”. These centers promote techniques of activism “from the heart” that do not require angry confrontation and, consequently, add an additional dimension of effectiveness and less “burn out” for those of us who are seeking non-violent change.

Ocean Song - is an environmental retreat center in Sonoma County, California. EarthWays is working with the local community to initiate environmental education programs on this beautiful land with Redwoods, meadows, and ocean views. At Ocean Song there seems to be a permeable membrane that allows the land to touch our hearts with its beauty and thereby open us to the importance of interdependence and restoration. We hope to share with you and many others this experience of connecting to the land.

Myriad Possibilities - We are proposing a vibrant community hub that will emerge from a desire for local sustainable businesses, progressive social change, environmental preservation and other similar concerns. Individuals and participants from many different organizations will use this hub to support and inspire one another, thus enhancing and invigorating the work that each one is doing in the world.
